Atleast the formal story was that all systems where deleted prior to the emergency landing, but you never know. The crew where all awarded medals upon return - some quite high aswell, so they must have done something right?

With the C-2, the E-2C, the E-2C 2000, and several others released, I'm still hoping and praying that this one will show up on the "Coming soon" list...

I keep thinking of that scene from the movie "1941" where Slim Pickens swallows the compass from the Cracker Jacks prize so the Japs on the sub can't use it to navigate...

That plane should be sitting on the ocean floor. That was a bonanza for the Chinese.

Lets hope this new Intruder kicks the Monogram's butt. Was not looking forward to rescribing that thing.

And while we're all dreaming big.......AFTER we see more Stoof varients, (short fuselage to do Canadian Trackers) Trader and Tracers (really hoping they do these), I'd love to have a 1/48 scale Sky Warrior.

My first thought was "No way that'll happen". Then I realized that over a dozen countries have flown the P-3 in the past 50 years in countless schemes. Just look at this line-up of low-vis from different operators...

Imagine what the same line-up would look like in hi-viz. Maybe it could be a good-seller if there was enough worldwide interest? Hmmm...

Hey now, I have memories BURNED into my brain from that particular spot on the K-Bay ramp. I laugh at them now, but they involve C-130s with engines running, me, my rifle, my deuce gear, my seabag, a stupid crypto safe, a slippery C-130 ramp and whole bunch of other Marines who weren't gonna have too many hot meals and running water for a while!
