Hello Sir,
Is there a chance of a 1/48 P-3 Orion in the future? I would love to see a manufacturer produce that beautiful aircraft. |

That would be cool, as long as it came with optional parts to make a CP-140 Aurora as well.

Also, maybe a separate boxing for the P-3C AEW&C (The P-3 with the E-2 dome on it. See Whitey's build:

The way I see it, Kinetic might do well to focus on some kits that have been ignored by the "mainstream" plastic gods. The E-2C is a step in the right direction and a larger scale P-3 would be most welcome. But why stop there? What about a 1/48 C-2 , S2E/G, E-1B or P-2V? Can't help but think that they would be money makers for them. I know that I would buy 'em.....Cliff

I'd like to see a COD in 1/48, as well as a Neptune

And if we're dreaming of big things in 1/48 to have, I'd like the B-2 to sit next to my 1/48 P-3.

The C-2 and Trackers which I would make Canadian are on my hit list for 1/48.

I'd have to build a couple...go broke doing it though. I've said it before, if Italeri/Testors can do the C-130 in 1/48 then why not a P-3? Of course, now you're talking some expensive tooling these days to live up to the "standards" modelers expect and that's perfectly fine other than the cost of such a kit off the shelf. The Monogram vs. Trumpeter C-47 is a good example...$30 some odd dollars vs. $100 plus odd bucks.
A '48 P-3 would sell either way I think, many countries fly it so there is wide appeal. It would make for an impressively large model. Certainly a well waiting to be tapped, all these suggestions tossed out there; the S-2 (and it's varients, C-1 and E-1B Willy Fudd!), P-2 Neptune, C-2 COD (which will be in the fleet for another 50 years!)...while we're talking Navy stuff, how about a Privateer in '48?! Man, tons of possibilities.

Then we need more decals lined up. Another I'll build, with AJ tail codes.

Imagine the amount of noseweight you would need to prevent the 1/48 P-3 from becomming a tail sitter

Id kill for a 1/48th P-3. Id want the option to do an A model though. An S-2 would be great as well. And so would the P2V-7H.
