Fantastic models here already. I hope to contribute in the future.

What paint did you use for the tail? I like it.

My only previously completed Viper is an Italeri F-16A done (20 years ago) with Humbrol paint.
I just painted an F-16C tail with Aeromaster "US neutral gray FS 36270" and it looks soooo dark to me.

Cheers, Stefan.

If I remember correctly, I used Tamiya Dark Ghost Gray out of a spray can, at least for the Shaw jet anyway.

Thanks, Geoff.

I looked at my Dark Ghost Grey FS 36320 and it looks a lot better to me.

Edit: My jar of 36270 was really old and I didn't mix it properly, which gave really dark result.
So, for an accurate F-16, it's FS 36270 but I quite like the look of 36320.

Cheers, Stefan.

Great model Jake, one where the camoflage really did work - it broke up the outline and I found it difficult to see it.

One question: How on earth did you create the visor? Amazing.

Thanks, Keith. The visor was made from clear therma form and tinted with Future and yellow food coloring. Lots of trial and error.

Geoff,
Outstanding F-4! One of the best I've seen. What did you use for the ARN-101 conversion?

If I recall correctly, I think the ARN-101 bits are included in the Hasegawa RF-4 kits.

Here's my Tamiya 1/32 Block 50 built using "Shaw Shooter" sheet. Majority of left side is the Tamiya sheet, right side is the "Shooter" sheet. At $125 when I bought it in '05, this was the best way to two jets from one kit. I was surprised when this sheet was first available since I saw this one taxi past my unit HAS's back in Fall '99 when at Incirlik.
