Understand that the Marines used the 8T for FAC duty, does anyone have any info or pics?

H&MS-11 and H&MS-13 were each assigned 4 TF-9Js. H&MS-11 flew theirs from Aug 66 to Sept 67; H&MS-13 flew theirs from around Dec 66 to Jan 68.

From Navy accident lists it look like these were the BuNos:
H&MS-11 147391, 147393 147410, 147411.
H&MS-13 147377, 147381, 147384, 147386 (lost 25 Dec 1967).

I took the BuNos from "Listing by Aircraft Model, USMC Aircraft Accidents, July 1963 through January 1973" at http://www.history.navy.mil/a-record.../ac-losses.htm. Search for "F009" in the file and it will show you the TF-9J damage/loss incidents. In the "Rep Cust" column, "G12" is H&MS-11 and "G14" is H&MS-13.

The Texas Tech Virtual Vietnam Archive has the Command Chronologies for H&MS-11, H&MS-13, and 1st Marine Air Wing. Go to the Search page then click Advanced Search. Type in "H&MS-11" and it will bring up all the docs they have for H&MS-11. Some of the H&MS-11 Command Chronologies include the monthly flight schedules with crew names and aircraft number.

The tail codes for H&MS-11 was "TM" and for H&MS-13 it was "YU".

That is one heck of a data warehouse. Excellent source for Viet Nam era aircraft
