Default New Steel Beach items now available

The new Steel Beach items are now available at Sprue Bros. This round of new 1/48 scale releases includes:
-- F-4 wheel bay jigs for the Academy kit
-- F-14 wheel bay jigs for the Hasegawa kit
-- F-4S conversion for the Academy F-4J
-- F-4 wing trunnion plates
-- F9F-8 Cougar intake trunking for the Kittyhawk kits

I'd also like to announce a new line that I'm working on. I know many of you like to build in-flight displays, but getting the gear doors to fit can be a hassle. I will be releasing plugs that fit in the gear bays to make this much easier. On the kits that the gear doors fit well, you will simply put the plug in and glue the gear doors onto the plug. This will prevent them from falling down into the gear bay. For kits that the doors don't fit well, or that are complex, the plug will already have the gear doors molded onto the resin piece, so all you literally have to do is glue the resin plug to the inside of the gear bay and you are done. I'll be starting with kits that I have in my stash. If there is a certain subject you'd like to see done, we can arrange it where you send me the kit, I'll make the plugs, and then return the kit with a free set of plugs back to you. Hopefully this will make building easier for you. That's my ultimate goal.

As always, your business and support is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
Darren

I started on the C, and they were every bit as problematic as I thought they were going to be. It's one of those things that I'm going to have to slog my way through a bit at a time. It's just not that much fun for the return I would get. They will eventually get done, but it's probably going to be awhile. In all honesty, I hope another company comes out with them!
