Thought you all might like these. I started them years ago, and just never got to finish them. Since I have shit to do at the flightline here in UT, I spent a lot of free time drawing. Enjoy!

I can't believe they flew it that way for a month, the markings were supposed to come off after the 113th pilot reunion,I would have loved to taken some pics of it while on the flightline.

Is the leading edge painted red like the markings? or is this just a leading edge protector/guard? I can't tell in the posted pic...

Jaws has it right,we would use red slotted plastic for the trailing and leading edges while in the hanger and would also put plastic protectors on the static wicks as well so nobody would poke their eye out, still us flightline guys would find ways to get "Viper bit"(not as bad as getting "Phantom bit" but still painful sometimes, still have a couple of scars from those days!).

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I've seen guys model wheel chocks, RBF flags, fire extinguishers etc but I haven't seen someone replicate protectors on a kit build.

Or maybe I just missed it then too...

Does anyone have a shot of that NJ ANG plane with the cool little devil face on it? And does anyone do decals for that jet?

I knew Hill for a short time ahd BLK 50's, but did not know Shaw once had Blk 40's. When were the 40's at Shaw, I do see they had the old 363FW stuff.

Shaw had block 42s, it's where Toledo, Tulsa, Des Moines, Tucson, Nellis came from; 89-2132 and 90-0702 in David's pictures are now 180th FW Toledo jets. 702 is featured on "Balad Vipers at War", my last build.
