Jim-

Nice work!!! One correction point. You need to remove the slime light from the inside of the right tail.

Well I started with preshading the panals with Gunze Gunship Grey. Then Gunze Dark Ghost on top and light ghost on the bottom. Then I lightned some Gunship grey and hit some accent point, latches and such and I also hit some random areas to simulate repair points. I then fiilled in those same ares with some of the light Ghost grey. I also hit different areas with the light ghost grey "Again to represent repairs" by itself. I then came in and did some post shading with the light ghost grey. I then glossed it and gave it a wash with something new. I tried AK panzer grey wash. While it worked I;m not sure that it's thin enought for what we aircrafters need to do with it. The stuff is for tanks and designed to be thinnned after you put it on a model. After I got the wash on it tended to stain the paint in certain areas whihc was ok since i was going for a well worn look BUT I did wind up toning that down with a misting of the orginal Dark ghost grey. Kinda of a hodge podge way of going about it and definatly no hard recipe was used. I just thought about how the real thing is painted and touched up and went after it that way.
My artistic license came with the covers. I;m a fan of CAG A/C and I had to add some color in there and thats where the AB sheet's art at the top came in handy, that and some scrounged up stars.

Thanks!! comming form you I consider that high praise. Your one of the masters ;-)

As for the build I have looked and "oompa" was right. I never doughted him but he piqued my curiousity. Unfortunaly at this point I think I would do more damage removing them. I really should have just put on the AB slime lights. Thats what I get for following Eduard instructions and not looking closer at Jakes book ... I;m also considering redoing all my gear doors. I Carefully ground off all the hidges and added the Eduard ones but I ahve lost two and they are so fragile I don't think they will hold the doors very well, besides this gives me an excuse to try those AB red outlines on thier new Data sheet.

Time for an update. Well she's got feathers and tallons ;-) I also took Oompas advise about the glow stripes and removed the older PE ones and went with the decals. It is a big improvment so thanks for the heads up Brain! Ok here we go...
