Hello,
I am building Academy's 1/72 F4U-1 and will depict the aircraft #F107 flown by P.C. Delong, painted in dark sea blue livery. Any info on the colour of the gear legs and wheel hubs? Thanks in advance. |

If it came in blue from the factory, the gear legs would likely be aluminum paint, and the wheel hubs would be unpainted metal. If it was painted after rework, then everything would be blue. I'd probably go with the aluminum gear and hubs...

Here is the painted model. I used Tamiya acrylics (the blue is XF-17)
![]() I think I'll go fro Roger Hendrick's aircraft with Techmod decals. |
