This sub-forum will be just fine. We're looking forward to seeing the photos and helping in any way we can.

Welcome to Z5!

ok done for the night here are some pics.. inside the fuselage, started the seat, the control stick, cockpit rear wall, and the pilot. now i think i paint the chair a little too much so i took a sharpie and put some black were all the control nobs were and used it also on the top of the pilots head gear

Hi Big John,

You may have already figured this out on your own, but things like the interior parts are best painted before assembly. Another thing, an airbrush will speed up the painting process considerably, if you have access to one. Don't worry too much about painting areas that are probably not gonna show.

Things like engines, wheels, propellers should be treated as "mini-models" in themselves and are best cleaned up, painted, and weathered separately and added at the end of construction, which i call the "End Game".

The basic airframe (fuselage, wing, tail, cowling (If you can temporarily install it without the engine), canopy) should be integrated together in most cases and then painted as a complete unit.

Does that help? We're here if you need us.

Cheers,

david
