R15 are the late style sway brace pad while R16...

R15 are the late style sway brace pad while R16 is the early style.

R15 would be used if you wanted to make an IMER (Improved Multi-Ejector Rack/BRU-41) for aircraft like the F-18 and late A-6E's....

I'm old school, I use a Paasche H single action....

I'm old school, I use a Paasche H single action. It's simple, easy to use and easy to clean. Never used a dual actions, they just look to complicated and pain to clean.

I won't recommend Insignia Red, it would be too dark.

I would think either Chevy Engine Red, Ford Engine Red (2733) or Italian Red (2719) would be the best bet.
